Meet Your Jet Guy Paul Mandelbaum

Private Aviation Advisor

Calm under pressure, relentless on the details.

Paul Mandelbaum

Why is Paul Mandelbaum Your Jet Guy?

Paul Mandelbaum is the kind of private aviation advisor who thrives when the details are tight and the clock is moving. Based in New York, he brings a calm, high-energy approach to private jet charter, blending fast response times with the kind of personal attention that turns a one-time trip into an ongoing relationship. Clients who value access, discretion, and consistency appreciate that Paul is the person who answers, follows through, and stays locked in until everyone is where they need to be.

What sets Paul apart is how naturally he builds real connection and adds value beyond the flight itself. Before private aviation, he worked as a personal trainer, where his entire business was built on trust, consistency, and long-term client relationships. That same mindset shows up in the way he supports fliers now. Paul is known for being dependable at any hour, for solving problems without making them feel like problems, and for making thoughtful introductions that improve the client’s experience. He has lived in Israel, has deep ties there, and brings a global perspective shaped by travel to roughly fifty countries, including extensive time on safari in Southern Africa. For Just Landed Jets clients, Paul is a reliable, relationship-driven advisor who takes ownership of the mission and makes sure the trip feels handled from start to finish.

Four Questions With Private Aviation Advisor Paul Mandelbaum

Where do you call home, and what does life outside of aviation look like for you?

I live in New York and I am originally from New York, though I lived in Israel for a few years and still have a lot of friends and family there. Outside of work, I like to stay active and balanced. Exercise is a big part of my life, and I also enjoy photography and the occasional game of chess. Travel is a major passion for me as well. I have been to about fifty countries so far, and recently I have been spending a lot of time on safari in Southern Africa, which has easily become one of my favorite ways to explore.

How long have you been working in private aviation, and how did you get started?

I am nearing my second year in private aviation. Before that, my main role was as a personal trainer, where I learned how to sell through relationships, communicate clearly, and build trust over time. Moving into private aviation was an interesting transition because the stakes are much higher, but the fundamentals are the same. You earn loyalty by showing up consistently, understanding what matters to the client, and delivering exactly what you said you would.

Can you share a challenging flight request you handled and how you met it?

One of the most challenging requests I handled was a short-distance weekend round trip for a group of 16 people with a tight budget. The route itself was not the hardest part. The challenge was finding enough seats at the right value without compromising the schedule. I ended up securing two aircraft out of two different airports so the entire group could make the trip smoothly and still stay aligned with the budget. It took creativity, speed, and a lot of coordination, but we made it happen.

What kind of relationship do you want to build with your clients, and how can you help them?

I try to build relationships that are personal and genuinely well-connected, where clients feel like they have someone in their corner. I want clients to know they can call me at any time and get a real answer, because dependability is everything in this business. I also like helping in ways that go beyond the flight. If I can make a connection that improves someone’s trip, their schedule, or their lifestyle, I always do. I have connected one of my biggest clients with an in-house chef, for example, simply because it was a great fit and I wanted everyone to win. Over time, that level of consistency and care is what builds trust.
